"You can look at a picture for a week and never think of it again. You can also look at a picture for a second and think of it all your life."
- Joan Miro
A little bit about me
About me pages are the worst! Not going to lie. They tend to all sound the same. But there are some folks who may want a little background on who I am and it may make it easier for you to connect 😉 So here it goes!
I am a people person and sometimes, when I get nervous, I chat way too much! But you know what, sometimes that’s when I learn the best things about someone. Or, during a session, sometimes, that’s when I get the best emotions and connections.
I am a mom of two, which happens to be the reason why I started learning photography in the first place. I wanted to be able to capture everything in their lives. My daughter, Laetyn, is 6 and my son, Tate, is almost 5. They keep me on my toes and are the #1 reason I am so unorganized and chaotic most of the time. But to tell you the truth, I thrive off of being organized and having a peaceful life. I am in no way one of those that thrive in chaos. Nope, not at all!
I have my bachelors in Animal Science from Mizzou (MIZ….) and am also a Registered Nurse. Currently, I still work as a part time RN because I love working with people and like keeping active with my nursing degree.
I love living in a small town and being in the country and most of my images may reflect that. My style always strays towards rustic, raw, and organic. For that reason, I only shoot in natural light. I just find that using what God gave us to create art, makes me so much happier <3
I am real and unfiltered. I sometimes say things to get people to interact, and then think back and realize…hmm that may have been a little overboard. But, hey…we probably got some dang good pictures out of it!
I am always up for chatting, so if you have any questions, or would like to set up a session with me, I would love to hear from you!
